Any request for an authorship change should be submitted in writing with a clear and valid reason for the requested change.
Written confirmation from all listed authors should normally be obtained, including authors being added or removed. The Journal may request additional documentation where necessary to establish agreement among the authors.
If all authors provide their consent, the Journal may consider and process the requested change. If authorship cannot be agreed upon, the manuscript may remain under consideration or publication may be suspended until the dispute is appropriately resolved.
For disputes arising after publication, the Journal may request clarification from the authors and, where appropriate, refer the matter to the relevant institution or organization for resolution.
